Combination of the tt̄ production cross section measurements from the Tevatron Collider

چکیده

We combine six measurements of the top-antitop (tt̄) production cross section (σtt̄) based on data collected by the CDF and D0 detectors at the Fermilab Tevatron. The datasets correspond to integrated luminosities of up to 8.8 fb. We obtain a value of σtt̄ = 7.65 ± 0.42 pb for a top-quark mass mt = 172.5 GeV/c. The contributions to the uncertainty correspond to 0.20 pb from statistical sources, 0.29 pb from systematic sources, and 0.22 pb from from the estimated integrated luminosity. The result is in good agreement with Standard Model predictions.
